SYNOPSIS

When Mumbo Jumbo magically grows to giant size, he has to go on a dangerous journey with his three friends, to find the scary witch Baba Yaga so she can turn him small again. It is an adventurous journey which might make Mumbo Jumbo small again, but a whole lot bigger on the inside.

Animatic - Test

Notes from the director Karsten Kiilerich:
The meeting with Baba Jaga should just be viewed as an animation and image test.  Several elements will be improved and changed when the scene is done for the final version of the film. Changes can include the animation, set up of the scene, grooming of the character’s fur and the light and tone, which will probably be darker. The test of course still gives a clear impression of the characters and the plot.

Audience potential

These results are from an analysis done by The Danish Film Institute in collaboration with the analysis bureau Norstat. The goal was to research the potential of making the book into a film, as well as get a better understanding of the target audience.

Method

Completion:

Data collection made in April 2021 via the internet (CAWI) with baseline in Norstat’s panel in Denmark.

Target audience:

The research was done among children in the age group 4-11 years old and their parents, via email send-outs to people who are part of the Norstat panel. 808 interviews have been concluded among the children and the same equivalent among the parents.

*The examiners have aspired to have an equal distribution on gender and age in all the ages (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 year old) as well as striving towards being as geographically representative as possible.
